After five years . . .

We have been showing independent films since 2005. To date we have shown 60 films. They have varied from inspiringly creative to worldly political, and much in between. You can see the archives for listings by year. We celebrate 5 years of great efforts by the group and our leaders. There is more to be shown. We encourage your support and suggestions.

    Kim and I have had a great time spearheading this series, and hope it can continue. We have gotten increasingly tied up with trying to complete our DIY solar-electric house on our farm near Nemo, and are having trouble finding the time to arrange for the film screenings. We’ve had wonderful help from members of the film selection committee (Miguel, Deirdre, Maddy, Marsha, Carol, John, Talli, Dahl, Julia, Jan, Lindsay, and Laura, as well as past members), and great postering and logistical support from the Dahl Arts Center.

    At this point, we’re hoping that a new arrangement can be worked out where monthly films can continue, but with the orchestrating jobs spread among other folks, and made less labor-intensive (fewer email notices, for example).

    We’re definitely looking for fresh ideas and volunteers, so please don’t be shy!
